The 3 Year Deal said to be worth upto 10 Million is to secure Matt and David at the BBC until 2009.
The Little Britain Christmas special is likely to be aired December 2006 then there will be a full series for Autumn 2007 and another Christmas special in 2007, which will feature some familiar Little Britain characters and be broadcast on BBC One on Saturday nights.
BBC retains Little Britain duo with golden handcuffs "We have entered into a three-year exclusive deal with Matt Lucas and David Walliams," said BBC One controller Peter Fincham. "It is something we are absolutely delighted about. They are comedy, they are funny, and they play to a younger audience, which we like."
The BBC, which has recently come under fire for the high salaries it pays some of its top stars, did not disclose how much Lucas and Walliams will receive but it is widely rumoured to be in the region of 10 Million pounds.
